Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the 10th season of Indian Premier League as the Board for Control Cricket in India has marked the April 5th to be the Inaugural date of IPL 2017. The grand league tournament of cricket IPL 2017 will be played by eight teams and it is expected to start from 5th April 2017 and continue until 21 May 2017.

As per the rules of IPL committee and with SunRisers Hyderabad being the current IPL Champions, Rajiv Ghandi International Cricket stadium will be hosting the inaugural as well as the final match of the Vivo IPL 2017. The eight teams will take on each other in total of 72 matches in IPL this season. The matches will either start from 4:00 PM or 8:00 PM throughout the tournaments.

Each year home grounds of participating teams are selected for the IPL matches and this IPL season will be hosted by home grounds of eight playing teams along with few other venues.

  • Home ground of SunRisers Hyderabad and Hyderabad Cricket Association having the capacity of 55,000 to entertain cricket viewers will be hosting first as well as final match of Vivo IPL 2017 along with few other round matches of IPL this year.
  • 2: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
  • Home ground of Mumbai Indians and Mumbai Ranji teams The Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai has the seating capacity of 33,108. The stadium has witnessed the last match of Sachin Tendulkar the Indian god in Cricket and it will be hosting the 2nd match between Rising Pune SuperGiants and Mumbai Indians.
  • 3: Eden Gardens, Kolkata
  • The home ground for Bengal cricket team and Kolkata Knight Riders owned by super star Shah Rukh Khan the stadium has the capacity to be staged for 66,000 cricket viewers.
